Bahamas Exumas | Crociera a vela in catamarano | 25 aprile - VOLI INCLUSI

From April 25th to May 3rd 2020. Exuma island catamaran cruise.

Say goodbye to the cold of winter days, to the stress of our hectic hours, to the darkness that comes down in the early afternoon. And catapult yourself with half a round of clock hands in the tropics, in an emerald sea between solitary strips of sand covered with palm trees and seabeds so incredible that they seem fake. Wait for the sun to set, alternating baths and laughter surrounded by the scent of wild flowers and aromas of spices and rum. This is true luxury, the value of a priceless time, to be lived in a special archipelago.

There are 700 islands scattered over a sea surface of over 100,000 square miles form the Bahamas.

The Exuma Cays are part of this archipelago, a chain of 365 islands and islets that start 40 miles south east of the capital Nassau and stretch for over 150 km to overtake the Tropic of Cancer.
To protect this corner of paradise, the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park was established, a nature reserve that offers cruise passengers extraordinary experiences, such as swimming between caves and inlets in the company of manta rays, stingrays, dolphins, and even ... pigs.

Wild place of exuberant nature, it was chosen as a set of famous films, such as Pirates of the Caribbean and 007 Operation Thunderball. The beauty of these languages of sand with lush vegetation has captivated the hearts of celebrities such as Johnny Depp, Nicholas Cage, Faith Hill, David Copperfield, Eddie Murphy, now owners of islands and atolls, an exclusive residence far from curious and paparazzi.

The waters of the Bahamas are so transparent as to allow perfect visibility up to over 60 meters deep. But to feel part of a spectacular aquarium, you only have to swim on the surface with a mask: hundreds of colorful fish, crustaceans and molluscs inhabit a coral reef among the most intact and rich in the world. The catamaran is the ideal boat for wandering among the islands and islets of Exuma Cays, with the possibility of landing at will, perhaps where nobody has set foot for years and the only inhabitants are brightly colored birds, timid iguanas, and running crabs. Among the many wonders at Staniel Cay is the Thunderball Cave, where some scenes of the fourth James Bond film, starring Sean Connery, were shot between 1964 and 1965.

The light that enters the cave creates unimaginable chromatic effects in transparent waters, and in depth is a coming and going of fish indifferent to those who swim on the surface: something that is remembered forever. For the divers the maximum is the Mystery Cave, on the south coast of Stocking Island, facing Great Exuma: sharks, barracudas, manta rays and an impressive sample of marine fauna in a scenario, really, from a movie.
Part of the Cays show you live at sunset, when the dying sun inflames the beaches and colors the sea.

With a rum and a calypso background it seems to be in a dream and, at nightfall, thousands of stars are reflected in the trails of phosphorescent plankton floating in the waters of Exuma.

The best time is from March to May: Winter temperatures are mild / warm but there may be sudden cold currents from North America. Winter is however ideal for those seeking an escape from the cold and returning with a nice tan. Summer is hot and humid. Being low season the prices are lower and it is easier to find availability. Summer is however recommended for boat lovers, as the sea is generally calmer and more navigable.
