Cabin Cruise

Aeolian discovery| Sailing holiday | from May to July

At last we can think about our holidays and what could be better than experiencing the sea on a sailing boat! A small cosmos ideal for families or groups of friends. A real breath of fresh air after these long months ... away from the most crowded beaches or worse with access by reservation.

We will sail together to discover the Aeolian Islands in complete safety!

A breathtaking itinerary to be covered together with our "Jannú", a 17-metre long Sun Odyssey 54 DS equipped with four double cabins with private bathroom plus an additional cabin with bathroom for the captain.

The seven sisters: Alicudi, Filicudi, Panarea, Salina, Lipari, Vulcano and Stromboli, with their bright colours at all hours of the day and night, very different from each other, but united by an overwhelming beauty that makes anyone who visits them fall in love. Aeolus, god of the winds, made his home here. They all belong to a single volcanic complex; the beaches have wonderful characteristics, from the intense black of Stromboli to the white beaches of Lipari.

Lipari and Vulcano are rich in eruption materials such as pumice, lava fragments, ash and scoriaceous bombs. Diving into the waters of these islands, one notices that volcanic underwater activity is still present, often encountering warm currents. Alicudi, Filicudi and Salina are now completely inactive, while Lipari and Panarea still have hot springs and fumaroles. Vulcano and Stromboli are still active. The latter has been active for two millennia, which is why it was called 'The Lighthouse of the Tyrrhenian'.

The crew
Professional skipper: Mario Cudia with sailing expert qualification and experience in command of
monohulls and catamarans throughout the Mediterranean, the Caribbean Sea, Cuba and the Indian Ocean. He has
active 2 Atlantic crossings and under the command of Hiera in 2014 he ranked first in the category
in the Atlantic crossing A.R.C. For many years he has been sailing in the Aeolian and Egadi islands, of which he is one
profound connoisseur.
Sailor: Elisa marine biologist, sailing license, diving license and snorkel guide.
she will take care of the preparation of meals and maneuvers on board.

From May to July. 1-week cruise to the Aeolian Islands. In the north-eastern part of Sicily, surrounded by an intense cobalt blue sea, the Aeolian Islands are the setting for an unforgettable sailing holiday. Seven islands, all of volcanic origin, with the craters of Stromboli and Vulcano still active, rich in nature, history, culture and myths, known and inhabited even before the ancient Greeks and immortalised in Homeric descriptions.

What to bring:

The following is a small guide on the equipment to bring for a cruise on a sailing boat or not
forget at least the indispensable things.

The nautical equipment for the sailboat varies in "heaviness" according to the season but a series of basic items are always necessary, let's see which ones:

Carry all your things inside a soft bag! The rigid ones and also the semi-rigid trolleys with wheels
they should be avoided because they are difficult to stow. For charging smartphones, PCs, tablets, etc. All cabins are equipped
of usb sockets.

Clothing:

Bring shorts, tank tops, T-shirts, flip-flop shoes to go ashore with the tender,
(girls, we don't recommend stiletto heels..!) For the evening on the boat, a sweatshirt is ideal, but it certainly depends
from the month, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen.

How to reach us:

Our base in Marsala is only 12 km from Trapani airport and 80 km from Palermo airport.
